Born and raised on Israeli chutzpah along with over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience, has inspired me to create and share with the world my philosophy on the roots of entrepreneurship.

My lectures on the Israeli innovation and start-up ecosystem along with my high level philosophy on the impact of chaotic upbringing on successful Israeli entrepreneurs, is the reason I wrote Chutzpah: Why Israel is a Hub of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, my first book, which will be published in August 2019 in the US, by HarperCollins Business.

Chutzpah analyzes and explains how Israel, a tiny country with the highest concentration of start-ups per capita worldwide, is raising generations of entrepreneurs who are disrupting markets around the globe and bringing massive change to the world. By revealing the ways in which Israelis parent, educate and adjust to various situations, Chutzpah provides invaluable insights and proven strategies for success to aspiring entrepreneurs, parents, executives, innovators, and policymakers.

Throughout the book I sprinkle in Hebrew words which are staples of the Israeli culture, but also very basic business principles to live by while growing a successful business.

I introduce you to The Chutzpah Dictionary’s Five Signature Business Principles:

1)Chutzpah- The essence of the book; having the ability to be courageous and daring in a responsible way.

2) Balagan- A state of chaos with a side of opportunity.

3) Tachles- Being straightforward and reaching the bottom-line quickly and efficiently.

4) Firgun- Being genuinely happy for someone else’s success.

5) Leezrom- Go with the flow and leave room for the unexpected.

So, there you have it, five of the main traits needed to run a new or existing business like an Israeli entrepreneur. Sounds easy, right?

Well, it may sound easy, but it takes commitment, mind-shifting, training, and practice to incorporate these ideals into the building blocks of your business.

Are you familiar with any of these words? Which one resonates with you and the way you conduct business?
